Human services is a broad and impactful field. The main goal of human service is to improve people’s quality of life and help communities. Human services have a lot to offer, including social services, healthcare, education, community outreach, and counselors.

Social Workers

Social workers are available to help families and communities with crises and help them work through challenging struggles.

Education: Bachelors in social work and can also include getting your master’s or extra training for certificates.

Mental Health Counselor

Being able to provide therapy and support to people who are struggling using different therapy techniques.

Education: Masters in counseling or psychology.

Child and Family Advocate

Protecting the rights of families and improving the lives of children. This role may involve navigating the adoption process and the foster care system.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s in social work or human resources.
